I don't believe there was a significant change in production numbers. My take is that, like most things in life, people are drawn to the extremes and things in the middle may appear not to get the attention like the first or last years. If you're familiar with The Brady Bunch.........remember Jan

I think it comes down to psychology, we like first gen because it's new, different, often odd and the last years are those that grabbed them up because they didn't like the square bodies, for instance and GM had "perfected" the model by then....despite the 75 less horsepower
