My guess someone in the shop needed a 56 bar and swiped it and they went and found the first one they could plate to hand back. Took another 6 months and a couple different pieces till we found one that worked again.

Big bummer, what a relief it must have been to relocate the right bar. Few things worse than thieves, it's such a poor trait, putting it mildly.
