After reading through this, I would be inclined to give it a try. 300 degrees F max seems reasonable and if their claims are accurate, the coating would act as a high performance clear.

This does appear to be a quality product but at $80 per pint its in a higher tier than my needs. It's for extremely nice showstopper vehicles.
