Agreed. I ended up fabbing alternator brackets for the '57. PS brackets from late '60s are nice for side engine mount vehicles since they use the two bottom bolts on LH front of block.

That's a good choice. The mid '70s trucks use a power steering bracket that bolts through the water pump.
