Best DIY bedliner?

i know not a lot of guys here are big on bedliners, but the bed i have, i have no option of replacing, and its going to take a ton of work to get it back to looking normal..

i have quite a bit of rust pocking in the bed, and plan on doing a decent strip of the bed on the rusty areas, but i know its not gonna be perfect and doesnt have to be perfect either

so what does everyone like for DIY roll on bed liners?? one that will hide the most dings and will actually adhere to itself and wont just peel up later, or crack if an area or two has a bad bond?

Edit : i took another look and checked some review sites, it looks like "prep" is the key to any bedliner really, so i may be doing quite a bit of of work on the bed to make it so the liner will stick, but still need a good suggestion for the liner to use. so far im leaning towards herculiner, but ive seen a couple other good ones around my area... gator guard or something like that is one, but havent read much on it.
