No I am not doing anything with the existing paint. I just painted the parts that were were replaced instead of leaving all different colors. I would imagine that the paint might be able to be brought back a little, it is a Copper Poly 522 which has some metal flake in it. Which makes it harder to bring back and look good. There are parts that are just faded pretty bad ( see picture 1). That being said it did look pretty good when the truck was wet during washing it. (pict 2)

To do this truck justice it really needs to have the body work completed and a complete paint job and new trim. When I started it had holes big enough in the rocker area of the floor that I could see the road, the drivers side bedside was buckled beyond repair and the passenger side fender was also buckled pretty bad. At least now it has good metal to work with.
