on the gas filler dent, you may have to build some sort of tool to fit into the back side to push it out. then hammer and dolly to get the shape you want. when you get close look into metal shrinking, there is a stainless disc that you install on the disc grinder and it basically heats up the high spots, then you cool then quickly with a wet cold rag. you can get the same effect using a clothes iron as well from what I have heard. hammer off dolly will also bring the high spots down. I have a wray schellin disc (see website for video on how it works) and I have used it for finishing some ripply high spots when the metal has been expanded in the wrong places like that.
