My '70 had a replacement tank...someone had just crammed a hose in and it took forever to fill because the hose was almost fully collapsed..
I bought a couple of pre-formed 45º fuel hoses and a coupler to make it come out in the correct location...
I had an old tank with the filler neck but my tank was full of gas and I didn't want to go through all the hassle to prep it for soldering...
It works perfectly fine now
