I have a 1990 V2500 Suburban and I initially went to one shock in the front and saw a noticeable improvement in the ride quality. The next step I did was I did a set of 4" lift Deaver Springs (front and Rear Springs) and Bilstein 5100 shocks all around. This made a huge difference in the ride quality of the truck.
