Here is a website with a diagram of the later motors which sounds like what you have. It describes where the terminals are on the motor if you have the round motor or the rectangular one. Keep in mind that the motor is hot wired and switched on the ground side. If you can determine which terminal is the hot then you can test the motor on the bench and switch it through the ground terminals. It sounds like you will need to either get a one speed motor, or a two speed switch. I guess you could have two toggle switches or use a double pole double throw toggle for the high and low speeds.
