Another thing I'm going to try is a rear disc conversion using 99-04 Grand Cherokee disc brakes. They are the 5 on 5 bolt pattern and parts were easy to find. New rotors were only a couple dollars more than junkyard pieces but I had to have the center hole machined out some to fit the new axles. The center hole of the backing plate had to be machined out a hair more than .25" to fit the axle housing. Looks like so far so good and I have about $150 in all the parts, e brake and all. These use a shoe style e brake and the lines look like they may even fit the stock holes in the rear control arms. Very exciting...
