Like I said, not a direct bolt in. yes, either a BOP tranny, or an adapter plate would be needed.
As for how to mount it, I say pull the front clip off, remove what is there already, dangle the motor in there bolted to the tranny, See if it's going to clear everything, and then figure how to bolt it down. 73 - 87 engine mount towers are great for odd ball engines. Mine had a pontiac 350 in it, and now the aformentioned cad motor on those towers.
Then, simply reroute fuel lines if need be, move battery to other side with an Aux battery tray if need be, hook it all up and head to the muffler shop for some pipe work.
