The ethanol attracts water, and it decomposes rapidly. So if gas sits for any amount of time, it goes bad and sucks up water. Not a good thing if a truck is only occasionally driven.
It also attacks plastic and rubber, so fuel hoses and other soft parts will fail quicker with ethanol.
