If you don't want to mess with a switch, it's only slightly more difficult to put in a vacuum switch and brake cancel switch. I found them to be plentiful at the junkyard and free, I believe I pulled my vacuum switch from a K5, along with a tiny blue vacuum booster. 12v from pin A to the brake cancel switch, then to the vacuum switch and you're all set.
