Yeah, on mine the notch came in around 4" and that would have raised the stock seat an inch or so. I wasn't laying all the way out, but I like a little rake, so it worked for me.

Options would be to cut the seat down, both the bottom and top, move the seat in front of the notch, or go with an IRS. There's no easy way--part of why I ended up with the 'short' step notch.
