The patina took 60 years or more to get to "patina" so what is "locking in the patina "mean exactly?
If you like patina, then don't F with it because if you do, you don't have "patina".

Restoring an old truck teaches exactly how they were built. Once you've learned that, you're not going to be disappointed! Take the time to get the basics.
