I'm a fan of natural colored brakes, as in some form of silver, aluminum, or black paint. I had a Malibu for a long time with big Wilwoods on it and black calipers. It was understated but worked well with the overall look of the car.
I agree, body colored calipers look cheesy, and I have to lump red in there as well. Those massive brakes will draw enough attention on their own.
