Im not thrilled about having to drill holes, but I think it would be a good investment since the hard top is a pain to get on and off and wont get used much and is going to be a costly repair.

I hear you on all accounts. I'm very strongly considering one and if I get one, I will likely keep it on always but just keep the sides/back rolled up unless it rains or something.
