Funny that I saw this today. I just watched a show about Rt 66.
If you have Viceland on cable, there's a show called Abandoned where they visit places that time has forgotten. Real interesting story. Anyway, today they did a ride on 66 and I was really surprised to find it's kind of a dead zone today. You might be able to view the show on-demand online, not sure.
