Another minor update. I pressure washed and used Eastwood rust encapsulator
and chassis black top coat on the front section of the frame. I figured while I had the the fender off and the core support out, I might as well clean it up a bit.
This is the first time I've used the Eastwood product, and I wish it wasn't as thick as it is. I brushed it on since I don't have a gun (yet), and I'm doing this in my attached garage. It's thick enough that the brush strokes wouldn't even out. It was around 70 degrees when I did this, so it may work a little better at warmer temps, but it's certainly much, much, thicker than POR-15.
In any case, I'm hoping I don't have to worry about rust on this part again :-)
