I stored a rebuilt motor for over 25 years.
I had some family issues, a divorce.
I left the rockers loose so the cylinders were sealed.
I did pull the heads, for inspection, before I started the motor.
Motor was installed in the car. Only issue was some mice had crawled through the exhaust system and stored food in the exhaust port.
It had the factory ram horn manifolds on it and the primary exhaust pipe installed. Which was no where near the floor.
Since it was food, and dry, it didn't cause any issues with the valve. Started and ran fine.
Tape it up and keep it dry. It will be fine.
