Hi Mac, YES, I used the springs that came with the 2nd gen Camaro front clip. I also have a BBC in the truck, which weighs some more than a SBC. Don't know how much that will affect your stance. I would think it would sit and ride well. Measure under your front fenders or crossmember or something you can get to before and after. Good luck
