Hey everyone. I am new on here and new to the world of 1947-1955 pickup trucks as well. My name is Jamie and I 23 and from Cincinnati Ohio. I have been around late 60's early 70's cars for about 10 years now and just finished a 1970 nova (after about 8 years). I needed another project so I just bought a 1954 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. It has the 235 6 cylinder with the 3 on the tree, straight axle and a tow truck looking bed on it that the guy before me made I guess. I think I will stick with the tow truck theme and do the truck up around that. I just plan on putting new kingpins, disc brakes, power steering and a new rearend in the truck with better gears. Then maybe some new primer and some interior work. This will be my daily driver here in about 2 months if all goes well.
