Once I got the welding on the cross member completed, I put on my rack. Sure enough, the tie rods would hit the frame when I let the air out of the bags. I had to add C notches to the frame to make room for the bellows on the tie rods. I also plated the inside and outside of the frame around the notches to ensure strength in the frame and cross member.
