if you are talking about the sensor on the front of the diff, up high above the pinion yoke and inline with the filler plug, then it is a speed sensor not a locker diff connection.
nice addition, the 8.8 is a strong diff. I would recommend a reinforced cover that has trunion bolts that bear down on the diff carrier bearing caps if you plan on big power and abuse. a buddy of mine had one in a mustang with a turbo'd LS engine and a 6 spd. big power and LOTS of abuse. the diff cover is the only add on he did for the diff and it held up no problem.
