The Captain is talking about the one right below the dipstick. That's not going to be a small amount to be "off".
The hole with the plug directly above the oil filter on the TBI engine is for oil pressure, the one above and behind it can be used for clutch in some cars(just did one in a '79 Malibu 4 spd conversion)
