Re: 307 Chevy motor

My 307 was a crate motor purchased for a T bucket. It got 25 miles put on it when the guy decided to go Rat Motor. Since I've got a good complete motor I just wanted to perform it as much as I could without messing with the block and rotating assembly. I read that sometime after 68 Chevy was using the 350 block casting and boring the cylinders at 3.88, substantially increasing the wall thickness. And another article, head change, cam change with a Performer intake, & 650 edelbrock netted 315 horses @5800 rpm & 330 ft/lbs at 3800 rpm. That's kinda what I'm looking for. Thanks for all the input!
