a lot of times the channel gets twisted as you are bending it for the corners, spend a little time working it back to straight with a flat bladed screwdriver, bet the window goes up the rest of the way then. I use an 18v drill battery for electrical testing. sure its overdriving them but in your case that isnt a bad thing.
