Another personal peeve, though moreso at auctions and car shows, is the "No expense spared" restoration that has a Costco battery and window trim that looks like it was prepped with coarse steel wool, scratched up glass, and so on.

A restoration doesn't stop at paint and wheels, and "no expense spared" means you date coded the new side-glass to remove the scratches...

I have no problem with what I call a "sympathetic restoration" that only fixes what really needs fixing, but don't call it a no-expense-spared "frame on" restoration while leaving stuff with 50 years of wear and abuse...
