They are all steel and welds, no matter who makes them. Check the welds. I use whatever Northern Hydraulics was selling 25 years ago, non-folding. It has had 6.5 diesels, big blocks, and has had a small block hanging on it for years. The thing that always concerns me, other than quality of welds, with any engine stand is the darned nuts and bolts fastening the engine to the stand. That;s a hunk of weight pulling down on those poor little things.
