If you were to remove a shock from both you would want to remove the outer shock(i believe) the inner would function the same as a single shock set up, if there is a spacer up top it would probably have to be switched to go inbetween the one shock and the frame. I can take some pictures of my front end later to show the single shock lay out if needed
