In the 90's we did a similar mod only using aluminum covers that bolted in place the same way & used an alum hex nut to top them off. It made the ralleys look almost like a billet wheel for cheap.

If I remember correctly we had to remove some material form the cap for the spinner to fit correctly.
But it has been a while, your results may vary.
