I would still want to know my rear axle ratio prior to making a final decision on a transmission. It's true that a 3.73 is the most likely, but what if it's something else. A 3.08 for instance might turn out to be less than ideal for a 700R4. Edit: BTW, I personally love a 350/350 combo with a 3.08. A straightforward economical setup for all around driving.
