Exactly. I asked about my Baja Bug for 6 years. (it was across the street). I got the old "Not for sale'. Then one day it was. The neighbor even came over and asked if I still wanted it He said he wanted $200.
Sold. I might be dumb but I'm not that dumb. I'll take that deal.
It never hurts to ask. Just put it out there. Get them thinking about it. I got my Packard for way less than the guy was asking. He was asking way too much. It just took him some time to realize that. He came around and I bought it at a fair (high) price.
