Re: What motor mounts did you use installing a 235?

I did the last one with the stock front mount. You have to drill the holes for the mount in the bottom lip of the plate on the front of the engine in most cases or as we did swap the 216 front plate over to the 235 during the rebuild. Pain to do it after the fact though.

Here! look this over and you can probably fab your own and use a Ford Flathead biscuit style rubber mount. https://www.jimenezbroscustoms.net/s...de-Motor-Mount

A motor mount setup like this and some scrap metal and tubing from under the welding bench and a couple of hours and you have a 120 buck set of side mounts. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Unive...-Kit,1199.html

You can probably find the mounts locally especially if there is a vintage Ford store in the area. Just don't tell them you are using them on a Chevy.

You can buy the rubber pieces from Rock Auto for under 5.00 for the 4 rubber pieces but you don't get the bolt or washers. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...tor+mount,5552

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
