Go for it. My family and I took my daily driver 79 ford bronco from arkansas to south dakota down to colorado back across kansas then home pulling our 24 foot camper. It was me and the wife and our 4 kids. I got 4-5 miles per gallon and ran 65 on the interstate. The good thing about the older rides is if they break down you can usually get them going again long enough to make it somewhere for parts. Try dropping a tank and replacing and fuel pump on the side of the road or some major electric problem repair. Old iron rules.
