I`ve only seen the 57-60 "Stylesides" (Ford terminology) on the 61-64s past 1960.You had a choice of either a unibody or the old bed.I believe they couldn`t let the old bed go because a unibody was a new idea that may not have been one of Ford`s "Better Ideas".They look nice,but not a good idea.Did they even offer the unibody on 4wds?But,I`ve seen both beds on everything except 4wds.But,no old beds on 65/66s.
The 351M was a dog from the factory,a gutless gas guzzler.It`s like the factory did what you or I might do when we screw with the combinations not knowing what we were doing.The motor can definately come alive and then some.My friend bought a`78 F350 4wd back then with an "M" and it was awful on gas and power.Just a cam,intake,carb,headers,and duals woke that thing up like a different motor.
