Another option if its not a all original Barrett Jackson nut and bolt restoration.
would be to have it air brushed on, seen some real nice ones done
Like the side emblems on Ogres truk ,
Ive seen some at car shows , saw a 72 El Camino with all the chrome side trim air brushed on looked real from 5 ft away.
