Wife's Dad gave us a 71 Mercury Montego MX, he never said it but was concerned about the reliability of my cars. Was ok but had the 351 Windsor engine, at about 60K miles the rockers started failing, mechanic said it was a common trait. Fixed it and returned it to dad, my that time he had figured out that I kept them running just fine.
