I never heard of a Chevy six that was a 265. Before 63 was the 235 and the 261, truck engine that was later replaced by the 292. the new family debuted in 62 with the 194, then the 230, 250 and the 292 was the last.

Mounts for the older 235/261 are different, the block is wider. The new family all use the same mounts, except for the 292 with the passenger side mount moved ahead one cylinder.
