That works as you aren't going to be doing away with a nifty old name brand wrecker body in the process.

If you want to run a stock frame rather than doing a frame swap they did have 1-1/2 and 2tons in 1953 with 179 inch wheelbases that might stretch a bit rather easily. No vin on the frame so finding that truck in a Texas field with the beat up cab, no engine and missing pieces but a nice straight frame works if a stock style frame is in the plans.
