Re: how rare are long bed step sides?

Wow--- can't believe I haven't seen this thread before--- I own TWO long bed step sides - 1977 C20 Custom Cab 2wd w/292 L6 bare-bones fleet vehicle, owned it since 1985 and while mechanically it's good to go, its body is still very rough.

My other project a 1986 GMC C3500 Sierra 2wd w/SB long-bed, bought on auction for $600, also another fleet vehicle that was drive-able but needed a lot of mechanical to pass smog, etc., meanwhile, after about 6 years of faithful service it's 350 needs heads redone at the very least.

Personally, I've only seen maybe 5 or 6 other long bed steppers besides mine and am always on the lookout for... BODY PARTS~!!! The bed sides mainly, because once they get beat to he** (which mine are) original sides in decent shape are almost impossible to find and I don't want after market sides - seen 'em before up close and they don't compare to originals.

Ciao~!
