Well you mentioned the ignition system but what about fuel and compression. Are you getting a spark? Did you clean out the fuel tank, put in a new filter and clean the carb. You could have some valves stuck open. Did you change the oil and filter. You should. I would pull the valve cover and see if all the valves are moving.
