Backspacing is huge. Something like 6" This truck needed a lot to work with the portal axles but it still proved too much to package without a spacer. Ultimately, there was only one source for a drop-valley 17" hoop that would even come
close to working with a factory 16.5" Chevy center... so I made it work.
You can somewhat see the caliper clearance in this photo. It's a Ford Superduty rotor and caliper conversion for this application.
