They all need rust repair, it is what it is. I have yet to find a completely rust free cab for mine.
As far as what you gave for it, I would not let it kick ya in the rear, run it. These trucks are so easy to fix.
They have been going for 50 years now starting with the 67 model year, parts still mostly readily available with more and more interest in these every day. They are not trailer queens, they are work trucks, that still today can be counted on when the going gets tough.
