Believe it or not, the old metal really isn't as stellar as everyone believes. That said, cheap $10 drums from Autozone are likely inferior. Get some decent ones by Raybestos or Delco and they'll likely be better.
It it were me though, I'd turn the old ones assuming there's meat left.
