So after getting her home I put some better tires on(pictures below) and just started to drive her. Carb is kinda crappy so she has hesitation, but other than that it seems fine...until....so last week I did an oil change...drove her to a friend's house..let it sit a few hours...and on the way home the engine starts spitting and sputtering..the sound you get when your running on 4 outta 6 cylinders...well limp her home and park it....next day fire it up and dump a bunch of B12 carb cleaner through the carb and she clears right up. So skip a day or two my tune up parts are in so I put in my new points, coil, distributor cap, plugs, and plug wires and the thing starts knocking like crazy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyhgUvL-2wU So after much tinker and figuring the knocking literally just goes away all by itself. lol Drive it around a little and no knocking, and the experts suggested a sticky lifter since it is a solid lifter engine and I have to agree. So anyhow..here's a video of how she runs After the tune up and when the knocking quit.
