My guess of why there cast is because that is the fastest way to make somthing like a intake or exhaust manifold. I think like building a split manifold you would probably have the best results modifying the org intake to accept a 4 barrel.

Also you said a 4 barrel or 2 do you mean 2 4bbls or a 4bbl or a 2bbl you can put a 2bbl on the org intake with a 10 dollar adapter.
