I preferr to use a flange and clecos, and just cut corners and allignment will come out correct

good choice to stay away from the plate, but just add some of your patch panel to get you back on a straight cut, I think most of my metal was top banana, but I'm hearing AMD might be good as well. Thickness of the metal is key, How's your welding skills?

Make sure the bottom fender bolt line up correctly
