I worked at an engine shop when I was 19. My boss took a 64 Impala off the jack stands one day when I was at lunch. I came back and he was mad because the rebuilt engine I had installed was knocking so bad he could not let it run for more than a couple revolutions. He should have let me take it off the stands because I had one more under the oil pan that I used with a jack on the tranny pan to help align them for re-connection. So he let the car down on the last stand and buggered up the pan pretty good so it was hitting the crank. The other guy there cranked up my first engine rebuild with no filter on it.Once fixed it still ran really good. I am glad I stopped working there.
